Time for…caring?

Hello all. I know, I know, it’s been a while, and I’m confounded as to why I’m the only one who ever posts on here (I’m looking at you, Dustin Bean…), though I can’t say I’ve really been good about keeping up on here for the past few months. So, to summarize:

We’ve played many a great show since post the last, including our first Emo’s show (thanks again to Cruiserweight for the spot), and a bevy of new friends both from the area and abroad with whom we look forward to seeing and playing with in the future.

At present, we’re taking about a month off from playing, spending time eating at all-night diners with our kin, each reading a book from Rememberance of Things Past for our band-only book club, and brewing some new songs, all for the love of you.

We hit it back hard on the 19th, with our first show of 06 @ 710, kicking off our I-35 weekend tour, including a Denton stop on Friday and Dallas on Saturday. We’re hoping to get back into the studio in the next week or so after that for our next EP and are making some plans for an up-through-the-East-Coast tour in mid-spring. I’ll not say anything more, but it might just be a super year for you and us!

Until then, many wishes of safety and fun-ship for this, the final two weeks of the calendar year. Now try to find that on a Hallmark card or 700 Club email update!

Screenprintin’! ! ! !

Hi! How are you? We’re doing a little great, thanks to the likes of Clap! Clap!, Zero Degrees, and Debra Groth who, respectively, hosted & invited us to play a heavenly show last night, lived up to their name and let us have our first show where we weren’t gooey with sweat, and hand-screenprinted some ass-kicking posters that we’ll have on sale at future shows until they run out (a little over 15 left @ present). In the end, fun was had by all, Billy Jack attack kept it solid, the Total Foxes kept it fun, and Clap! Clap!, as always, kept it numerous and top-poppin’. Plus I got to learn how to play an Omnichord in front of a live studio audience. Thanks to everybody for coming out by the (station)wagon-full on such a short-notice show.

And speaking of short-notice shows, we have yet another popping up @ Flamingo Cantina on Thursday, October 20th, with the wonderful Woozy Helmet and St. Louis new-wavers Emperor X. More details on that as they arise. Until then, kiddos, keep it like a screenprint.

More shows!!!

Hello, friends. Mr. Guy here again, to announce that we’ve managed to score some sweeeeeet shows for the month of October. See the section labeled “shows” for more show info. Shows! Hope to see you all there–we will be taking attendance, and you won’t receive credit for being there if you’re over 10 minutes late. Just kidding. You will receive full credit. Just don’t make a ruckus.

EP release/UT Watch benefit: Roaring Success!!!

A great many thanks to all of the fine folks who came out to the Flamingo Cantina last night to support the UT Watch/Katrina relief cause. In the face of some technical difficulties, you guys made us feel very much at home. Thanks too for supporting our cause–we sold far more EP’s than expected (sales will be posted to SoundScan soon…no wait, they won’t).

The Always Already CD Cover

We’re really happy to finally have it out and to start playing more. We’ll be quite sure to keep all of you posted on the latest shows, info, and merch: We should have the limited-edition screenprint posters by the next show, along with 80’s-style turkey legs. We’re still waiting for FDA approval on the latter. Bon baisers, kiddos–

Hello My GINA

Welcome to our website.

We have been working hard to get the CD done in time for the UT Watch benefit at Flamingo Cantina. We recorded and mixed the EP in 4 days in San Marcos, Texas with Tristan Rhodes. If you are ever in San Marcos stop at the Yellow store and pick up a Mystery Pack of beer. PARTY IN A BAG! see you at the show!
